Abstract

This article discusses the concept of mediation in criminal proceedings and the question of its purpose as an alternative way to resolve criminal law conflicts. The article analyzes the features, goals and principles of mediation at various stages of the criminal process. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of mediation in comparison with traditional forms of criminal proceedings
