PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION AS A GUARANTEE OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS DURING THE INQUIRY
Abstract
The article examines the role of prosecutorial supervision as a mechanism for ensuring legality and protecting individual rights during the conduct of an inquiry. The main functions and powers of the prosecutor in the framework of supervisory activities aimed at preventing violations of the rights of suspects and accused are analyzed. Special attention is paid to law enforcement practice and problems that arise in the implementation of prosecutorial supervision, as well as possible ways to solve them. The author concludes that the supervisory activities of the prosecutor's office are important in the context of ensuring individual rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings.
